The work of the ACLJ in defense of the Constitution, religious liberty, and the defenseless unborn is only possible because of the steadfast prayers and financial support of ACLJ members.

Today on the show, as it is the final day of our April Matching Challenge, we highlighted some of the cases our legal teams are currently engaged in, and really let you know what is we’re fighting for, and against.

We told you we filed public comments in support of the Department of Health and Human Services to strip taxpayer funds through Title X from Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers. House Democrats are trying to roll back that ruling, and Planned Parenthood, along with more than 20 pro-abortion states, is suing to keep that tax money flowing.

Three federal judges have issued injunctions – one nationwide – blocking the rule that would have defunded more than $60 million of our tax dollars from Planned Parenthood. Now we are preparing to file amicus briefs on appeal to defend the Protect Life regulations and cut off the flow of taxpayer dollars that have been pouring into Planned Parenthood’s coffers for too long.

Jordan and I talked about how pro-life workers in America are being targeted by the abortion industry and pro-abortion lawmakers, some even being arrested for their “disturbing” speech. We are fighting for their freedom of speech to save babies.

We discussed a specific court case in Iowa where the ACLJ is directly representing clients who face prosecution and conviction for their pro-life speech and reading from the Bible on a public sidewalk. Our team is getting ready to present oral arguments to defend their free speech in their efforts to counsel desperate mothers and save lives.

We also talked about how public schools are constantly trying to ban Christian prayer and Bibles from the classroom, but are incorporating Buddhist teachings and so-called “mindfulness” into their curriculum. Children are being instructed to participate in Buddhist meditation and to “clear their minds” and that we’re all “one with the Universe.”

They’re even forcing teachers to present it, and students whose parents opt not to have them participate are shamed by being sent to the hallway to wait.

This is not okay. It’s confusing to kids, and it undermines parents. We’re representing students, parents, and even teachers who don’t want this being taught in public school, and we have received positive responses from some schools once we made it clear what they were teaching was unconstitutional. But the work is far from over, as schools continue to push this Buddhist indoctrination.

These are just a sample of the cases we’re actively engaged in right now. From a legal standpoint, or a government affairs standpoint, domestically, and even internationally, what are the issues you believe we’ve got to fix in our country?

Filing these legal briefs, sending our teams to fight in court, and testifying on Capitol Hill, and before the United Nations requires vast resources. Groups like Planned Parenthood have unlimited resources – your tax dollars – to fight. We must rely on you, the ACLJ members and your Tax Deductible support.

Any gift you give before midnight tonight will be DOUBLED – dollar-for-dollar – as part of our April Matching Challenge. Frankly, we’re behind. I encourage you to give today and get us to our goal before the midnight deadline.

And to all of you that have already given, thank you for continuing the critical work of the ACLJ.
