BREAKING: House Members DEMAND Pelosi Remove Rep. Swalwell From House Intelligence Committee (Sekulow Recap)

Members of Congress demand that Congressman Eric Swalwell be removed from the Intelligence Committee.

Today on Sekulow, we discussed how members of the House of Representatives have sent House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a letter demanding Congressman Eric Swalwell’s removal from the House Intelligence Committee. Rep. Swalwell is currently embroiled in a scandal involving a long-term connection with a Chinese Communist spy.

Mainstream media may not consider the Congressman’s connection with a Chinese Communist spy worth covering, but this is a major scandal.

Congressman Swalwell serves on the House Intelligence Committee. He was also one of the major backers of impeachment and up until the last month was calling President Trump a Russian agent. These revelations show the height of hypocrisy since it came to light that Congressman Swalwell had a connection with a Chinese spy. She even placed an intern in his office. This is not a theory. It actually happened.

In light of all this, seventeen members of Congress, including Majority Whip Steve Scalise and House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney, have sent Speaker Pelosi a letter calling for Congressman Swalwell’s removal from the House Intelligence Committee. You’re talking the numbers one and two people in the House Minority leadership. This is no small matter.

The pressure has got to grow on Speaker Pelosi. Members of the Democrat Caucus need to join in and realize that Congressman Swalwell is hurting them by staying on that committee. Also, a fair question is how many other members of his caucus have been in the same position as Congressman Swalwell? Is that why mainstream media and so many members of his caucus are trying to ignore this issue? How close were these Chinese Communist spies to other offices? That’s not the kind of person you want on a committee that gets classified briefings on a regular basis.

My dad, ACLJ Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow, added the following about Congressman Swalwell’s hypocrisy:

Congressman Swalwell was saying even this year, the summer, that he believes that President Trump was an agent of the Russian government. Meanwhile, he was having interns placed in his office by a Chinese spy who was a student, but was also able to bundle for him financially.

This is the fight we have to be ready for. They impeached President Trump over a phone call and now we have all these revelations about a Chinese Communist spy compromising a Congressman. Speaker Pelosi was aware of it and, as of yet, has done nothing about it.
