Director of National Intelligence (DNI) John Ratcliffe debunked Congressman Adam Schiff’s theory that the Hunter Biden Emails are part of some Russian disinformation campaign.

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live, we discussed DNI Ratcliffe firing back against claims that the Hunter Biden emails and laptop are just a result of some Russian disinformation campaign.

This morning on Maria Bartiromo’s show on Fox Business, DNI Ratcliffe was directly asked if the Hunter Biden emails were Russian disinformation. Here’s what he said:

So Maria, it’s funny that some of the people that complained the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing intelligence; and unfortunately in this case, it is Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who as you pointed out on Friday said that the intelligence community believes that Hunter Biden’s laptop and e-mails on it are part of some Russian disinformation campaign. Let me be clear, the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports and we shared no intelligence with chairman Schiff or any other member of Congress that Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign. It’s simply not true.

We’ve heard this Russian disinformation stuff from Congressman Adam Schiff time and time again. He doesn’t have the intel. None has been shared with Congress as you heard from Director Ratcliffe, and yet Congressman Schiff claims that he knows this is Russian disinformation. He says he’s absolutely certain. Does this remind you of something?

He “knew” there was Russia collusion between President Trump, his campaign, and Russia? Then Mueller came out and said that there wasn’t. Then Congressman Schiff and his allies had to scramble to come up with another reason to justify impeaching President Trump. All Schiff produced was a call thirty-five other people were listening to between the President and the newly elected President of Ukraine. Remember.  The impeachment didn’t move forward because there was nothing there, though to this day he still claims that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia.

In this case he said the Hunter Biden emails were certainly disinformation from Russia which he has no basis to say, considering he hasn’t seen any intelligence. Of course, there isn’t any. Director Ratcliffe has debunked that theory.

My dad, Jay Sekulow, made the following point about Congressman Schiff’s harebrained theory:

You don’t go around claiming intel when there’s no intel to support what you’re claiming. Which is precisely by the way, if we think this is new, we have played this routine before. We have played this game before. This is Bob Mueller 1.0, impeachment 2.0, and now we have Russia Gate again 3.0 impacting national intelligence with the Vice President’s son. Here’s the problem. Nothing in the data, this is what the intelligence people are saying, nothing in the intelligence that has been gathered supports this proposition that what was on this hard drive came from the Russians.

This is just more of the same from Congressman Schiff. He will just make it up as he goes and try to see how long it will stick. We’ll continue to keep you updated as this situation develops.

The full broadcast is complete with much more discussion and analysis by our team, including ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy Ric Grenell, of the situation with Hunter Biden’s hard drive and how it is impacting national security and the presidential election.
