Radio Recap – Shocking Report: Steele Dossier Author Says His Emails Were “Wiped”

A shocking report: the author of the Steele Dossier says his emails were “wiped”.

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live we discussed Christopher Steele’s revelation that his emails and documentation related to the infamous dossier are gone.

According to an exclusive special report by the Daily Caller, the author of the infamous Steele Dossier, Christopher Steele, gave testimony in a deposition related to a defamation case he’s facing from three Russian oligarchs from within the United Kingdom. In this deposition, under oath, he testified that his emails were wiped and that he no longer has documents related to the primary source of the Steele Dossier, which kicked off the FBI’s probe, Crossfire Hurricane, which led to the appointment of a special counsel, Bob Mueller, and the recusal of an Attorney General, Jeff Sessions.

Yet, Christopher Steele didn’t say who it was that wiped all of his communications with Fusion GPS and his supposed source. All of the documents are gone. He was, in this dispute,  saying that our Inspector General for the Intelligence Community was wrong and had to go back and rewrite some of the initial report. There is no evidence of that. Now Christopher Steele has admitted under oath that he has nothing, no documents at all.

We’ve heard this time and time again from Washington. We shouldn’t ever hear this, again, when people make assertions like this against the sitting President of the United States.

ACLJ Director of Government Affairs Thann Bennett made the following point:

My goodness, whether you want to talk about Lois Lerner, Hillary Clinton, or Christopher Steele it always seems to be the same when it comes to evidence disappearing, especially when it’s in the form of electronic storage.

I think the American people see through this. For me, it continues to come back to the shocking idea that Christopher Steele was ever seen as a credible source. We know the FBI knew the dossier couldn’t be verified. It wasn’t credible. Even Bruce Ohr, whose wife Nellie had a vested interest based on her work at Fusion GPS, knew that.

We also know that he was terminated for leaking but the FBI continued to use him as a source anyway. Even though he was terminated they used him through Bruce Ohr. Now we know that he wiped, translate that – deleted – or someone deleted his so-called meticulous records with this source. It is really, truly beyond belief.
