Mexico in Chaos: President Trump's Use of Military Revealed
Listen tothis article
President Donald Trump is determined to solve the border crisis, and Claudia Sheinbaum, Mexico’s new president, is worried that Trump might send U.S. troops across the southern border to strike drug cartels.
Because of President Biden’s obvious decline, the world is already treating Trump like he’s President again. And though Trump doesn’t have presidential powers right now, he has much power in whom he appoints to his staff and Cabinet and what he chooses to say publicly.
Keep in mind that the notion of the U.S. sending troops into Mexico is pure speculation based on Trump’s comments about needing to get rid of drug cartels. Nothing has actually been planned.
However, regarding President Sheinbaum’s apparent concerns, I have some questions for Mexico. If we could coordinate with your government, why would you be opposed to the U.S. helping take out murderous drug cartels that terrorize your country?
The extreme violence in Mexico is not only threatening the safety of its citizens but also damaging Mexican tourism. People have to think twice before making vacation plans to Mexico. The drug cartels have even overrun some of the most popular destinations. So why wouldn’t you welcome America’s help?
Because of Biden’s refusal to secure the border, Americans remain in grave danger. The Wall Street Journal reports that fentanyl was responsible for 76,000 U.S. deaths in 2023, which exceeded the source of other overdose deaths. Rampant human trafficking continues to imperil the lives of innocent women and children. Don’t forget that Biden’s Department of Homeland Security also lost track of 85,000 migrant children who were brought into the country.
So Trump has no choice but to take drastic action to go after the drug cartels and shut down the southern border. But it remains to be seen how that happens.
The ACLJ is celebrating a victory in our fight to defend Christian medical professionals being forced to assist in abortions. At first you might think this kind of case would take place in a far-Left state like California, but it was Kentucky.
Our client, Judy, is a dedicated nurse at Baptist Health Lexington Hospital. Her bosses gave her an ultimatum: help abort babies or lose her job.
Judy then requested a religious accommodation to exempt her from assisting in abortion procedures. BHS Lex responded with vague terms that undermined the very purpose of Judy’s request. For example, if the hospital was understaffed, she would have to assist in killing the unborn. These terms effectively left our client without any assurance that her faith-based convictions would be respected.
The terms attached to our client’s accommodation blatantly contradict federal and state laws. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and Kentucky’s own legal protections explicitly safeguard employees from discrimination based on their religious beliefs.
In response, the ACLJ sent a legal demand letter to BHS Lex demanding that the hospital honor its legal obligations. We wanted written assurances that our client would not be compelled to assist in any abortion-related procedures, regardless of staffing conditions or other operational factors.
Because of our letter, the hospital granted Judy a full religious accommodation – without exceptions. But the victory doesn’t end with our client. The hospital also informed other nurses who also requested accommodations that they would receive the same religious accommodations.
With your help, we can keep defending the rights of pro-life Christian nurses and doctors, even all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. In fact we are preparing a major amicus brief for the high Court that could defund Planned Parenthood. Make a Tax-Deductible gift to defend the cornerstones of our nation – faith and freedom – and it will be TRIPLED through our Faith & Freedom Year-End Drive.
