Today is a historic day at the White House as Israel, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) sign peace agreements and economic accords.

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live, we discussed the signing of the historic Abraham Accords at a ceremony that occurred this morning at the White House. President Trump has facilitated two peace agreements between Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain. This is a monumental day for peace in the Middle East.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the following yesterday on Fox News:

I remember Sec. Kerry saying that if the nuclear deal was abandoned that Israel would become more isolated, when, in fact just the opposite has now happened. They’ve joined hands and now they have many more partners across the region. Each of those countries, those Persian Gulf States, recognize that the shared threat from the Islamic Republic of Iran is very, very real; and now they are working together, building out security and economic relationships and real ties between these countries. It’ll be truly stabilizing for the Middle East.

We already told you about the UAE peace deal. Then late last week, Bahrain's was announced. We’ve also talked about the Kosovo deal with our ACLJ Special Advisor Ric Grenell. Kosovo is also a predominately Muslim state. Now all three of them have agreed to formally recognize Israel. And it was all formalized at the White House today.

This means there is peace, full diplomatic relations, and economic deals between these three nations. These were countries that did not recognize the existence of Israel before this. Now they’re going to have flights going back and forth and full economic relationships. There is going to be greater peace in the region and, in a good way, it’s freaking out our enemies like Iran.

Iran’s foreign minister weighed in on this, tweeting:

@realDonaldTrump desperately needed a campaign photo. His son-in-law blackmailed their regional clients into giving him one.

The only problem: 'Peace agreements' being signed are NOT between foes but longstanding allies.

What a diplomatic coup!

Stay tuned for more...

That is an inaccurate conspiracy that Iran has always peddled. They’ve said that these Persian Gulf States are really pro-Israel, which is not true. These were once top funders of Hamas and other terrorist groups. They didn’t recognize the State of Israel until these agreements. Israeli athletes couldn’t go there to participate in international sporting events. They couldn’t even do any business. Whether or not they worked with the United States or not, these countries were never pro-Israel.

These agreements are beneficial for not only Israel and the United States, but for peace in the Middle East. Today is truly historic.
