Hamas Chief Openly Thanks Iran for the Rockets
Despite the fact that horrific violence was inflicted on our ally Israel by Hamas, using Iranian rockets and support, the Biden Administration is continuing talks and looking to lift sanctions on Iran. The trail isn’t hard to follow. As we told you , the United States, under President Biden, began new negotiations with Iran. Then the Biden Administration restarted funding to the Palestinian Authority (PA). The PA directly aids terrorists, like members of Hamas through its “Pay for Slay” program . Then in what shouldn’t be a surprise, Hamas purchases rockets and weaponry from Iran resulting in our ally Israel getting attacked. In a speech following the rocket attacks into Israel, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh thanked Iran: I cannot but thank those who brought forth money and weaponry to the valiant resistance, the Islamic Republic of Iran; who did not hold back with money, weapons and technical support. Thanks. On top of this, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has indicated that the U.S. and others have already agreed to lift sanctions on Iran: All parties to the talks have agreed to lift all major sanctions on oil, petrochemicals, shipping, insurance, the central bank and so on. When asked about if the U.S. has agreed to lift sanctions on Iran, Secretary of State Antony Blinken responded : We’re about to have our fifth round of discussions in Vienna with the Iranians. And what these discussions and talks – indirect, as you know – have done is they’ve clarified what each side needs to do in order to come back into compliance. So, we know what sanctions would need to be lifted if they’re inconsistent with the nuclear agreement. But as important and indeed more important, Iran, I think, knows what it needs to do to come back into compliance on the nuclear side. And what we haven’t seen is whether Iran is ready and willing to make a decision to do what it has to do. That’s the test and we don’t yet have an answer. The answer is Iran gave weapons and money to Hamas. When we lift sanctions, Iran gives to terrorists. Why would the United States help to fund any type of violent attacks on Israel? ACLJ Senior Counsel Skip Ash explained the consequences of the Biden Administration’s weak foreign policy stance: Right now, the Biden Administration is projecting weakness across every boundary to every nation. All of our opponents are seeing weakness. If we cannot support our strongest ally in the Middle East and if we allow our money to go to Iran to buy missiles to send to Hamas to attack our own ally, then we are showing that we have a feckless foreign policy. And this is going to encourage not only the Palestinians, Hamas, Hezbollah and others to come against Israel, it is also going to encourage the Iranians to challenge us more in the Persian Gulf. It’s going to encourage North Koreans to rattle their sabers more frequently. And it’s going to encourage Russia and China to give us the opportunities to fail in their regions. They are going to provide so many issues. This Administration will be overwhelmed and unable to respond and their causes will then be more successful. The idea of giving Iran billions of dollars just to get them to the table after they directly aided Hamas to rain down rockets in an attempt to destroy our ally Israel is absurd. We cannot turn our back on our number one ally in the Middle East. We’re seeing Hamas come out and say thank you to Iran for helping to launch rockets into Israel, and then you have Iran saying the U.S. is ready to lift sanctions. We must continue to speak out against these attacks and stand with Israel.
