REPORT: President Biden Considers Lifting Sanctions on Ayatollah to Get Nuke Deal

The Biden Administration is reportedly considering lifting sanctions on Iran’s Supreme Leader – Ayatollah Ali Khamenei – to move forward on the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal (also known as the JCPOA). We’ve warned you how dangerous the Iran Nuclear Deal is and the consequences if we re enter this deal. Former President Trump not only withdrew the U.S. from the JCPOA, but also imposed sanctions on the Ayatollah after a U.S. drone was shot down by Iranian forces. As Biden Administration officials are in Vienna trying to negotiate their way back into this deal, President Biden ordered airstrikes against facilities used by Iran-backed militia groups.

The Pentagon press secretary John Kirby defended why these airstrikes were necessary:

The targets were selected because these facilities are utilized by Iran-backed militias that are engaged in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks against U.S. personnel and facilities in Iraq. Specifically, the U.S. strikes targeted operational and weapons storage facilities at two locations in Syria and one location in Iraq, both of which lie close to the border between those countries.

So, while the U.S. launched airstrikes against proxies of Iran in both Syria and Iraq, the Biden Administration is bending over backwards to get a nuclear deal. They are willing to lift sanctions on the Ayatollah who is responsible for ordering these attacks against U.S. troops all to accomplish this Obama-Biden failed foreign policy legacy – the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

What message is this signaling around the world?

ACLJ Senior Military Analyst Wes Smith explains what this decision is signaling from the United States:

That we are open to giving in to their demands, while meanwhile they are not giving into any of the demands of the United States – which aren’t just good for the U.S. but for the region and for the peace and the security of the world.

ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy and former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell commented on the mixed signals from the Biden Administration:

Look, they don’t know what they are doing. You cannot be talking and negotiating with the Iranian regime to drop sanctions and at the same time take to the air to bomb their activities. This is ludicrous. Regular people can see this is inconsistent. And yet, inherent in that whole idea of the Iranian regime negotiations is an assumption that you trust the Iranians and what they are saying. You cannot trust the Iranians in negotiations while looking to see that they are spreading terrorisms so much so that the Americans have to go in and bomb in Iraq and Syria the Iran backed terrorists. This is pretty plain to most people and I would urge the Biden Administration to actually look at what the left hand and the far-left hand are doing.

Additionally, Iran is severely limiting inspections of the International Atomic Energy Agency (the U.N. top nuclear watchdog group) which include no longer having immediate access to footage that monitors Iran’s nuclear sites in light of the tense negotiations between Iran and the U.S. regarding the Iran Nuclear Deal. This is while we know Iran is actively trying to develop nuclear weapons.

The Biden Administration engaging in negotiations while the Iranians are holding the tapes of the inspectors, violating the original JCPOA, destabilizing the region, and taking proxies to attack U.S. troops that we then had to engage in military action to take out is senseless. To think we are going to reward Iran for their bad behavior by giving them a deal that reduces or eliminates sanctions against not only their government, but against the author and order giver of killing American troops is outrageous.
