We’ve told you. The President has told you. There is a crisis at our southern border, although the Left inexplicably continues to challenge that fact. Yesterday yet another former Obama official admitted we are indeed experiencing a historic migrant crisis at the border.

On today’s show we discussed former Customs and Border Protection (CBP) chief under President Obama, Mark Morgan, writing an Op-Ed that stated “we are experiencing a crisis greater than we have in recent times.”

“The entire immigration system is overrun. They’re not at the breaking point, they’re past it. Border Patrol resources are being pulled off the front lines to address the unprecedented humanitarian crisis while the cartels further exploit our open borders, increasing the threat to our country.”

Just yesterday we told you how Jeh Johnson, former Obama Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated we indeed have a crisis at the border.

Current CBP chief Kevin McAleenan said we were on pace for over 100,000 apprehensions at the border in March – the most in over a decade.

Current DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen echoed these statements, saying we have a “near system-wide meltdown.”

"The system is breaking. It was not designed to handle the volume of vulnerable populations—especially families and children—who are arriving. The result is a humanitarian and security catastrophe."

The U.S. cannot sustain a migrant flow of 100,000 immigrants a month. Our border officials cannot properly process that many arrivals. Illegal migrants are being released into our communities because the system cannot handle them.

We need a functional system that allows those who are entitled to be in this country to come, and those that aren’t, to stay out. We must have border security. need comprehensive immigration reform now.

By Wesley Smith1569870324251
