They are weakened. They are bludgeoned. But somehow Planned Parenthood keeps managing to survive. The ACLJ is filing two new amicus briefs against the flailing abortion giant.

Today on Jay Sekulow Live, we discussed the “swift fallout” Planned Parenthood is reportedly experiencing as a result of voluntarily withdrawing from the Title X grant program after the new HHS rule cut off funding for the abortion giant.

Planned Parenthood clinics in several states are charging new fees, tapping into financial reserves, intensifying fundraising and warning of more unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases in the wake of its decision to quit a $260 million federal family planning program in a dispute with the Trump administration over abortion.

As we told you, the new HHS rule recently went into effect, stripping Planned Parenthood of more than $60 million dollars in federal tax dollar funding. All recipients were given a timeline to show compliance and first date to provide assurances was this past Monday.

But Planned Parenthood bowed out of the program rather than separate abortion from its other women’s health services. Now it’s desperately trying to reshape and remake itself after the financial hit it just took for clinging to abortion.

As our Director of Government Affairs Thann Bennett said, make no mistake, Planned Parenthood is still a behemoth and a force to be reckoned with. And it’s fighting back. That’s what you do when you’re weakened. You desperately lash out, throwing punches at anything. But we are ready to take them on in court.

We just filed amicus briefs on both coasts – in New York and California – in defense of conscience rights. Planned Parenthood wants to force pro-life doctors and nurses to participate in abortions, in direct violation of their personal convictions. We’re fighting for their rights to say no.

Stripping Planned Parenthood of Title X funds is a victory. But there is still a long battle that must be fought to completely defund the number one abortion provider not just here in the U.S. but around the world.

Last year alone Planned Parenthood reported nearly $245 million dollars in profits and received OVER HALF A BILLION DOLLARS in taxpayer support.

Especially with the power of our ACLJ members behind us, as 300,000 of you signed on to our briefs to defend the defunding of Planned Parenthood, and an incredible 13,000 plus of you submitted your own individual comments in support of defunding Planned Parenthood.

I call the HHS rule a win in Round 1, but it’s not a total knockout. We’re ready to go toe-to-toe with Planned Parenthood until we leave it flat on its back.

But we need your support to take on this billion-dollar abortion business. Our August Matching Challenge deadline is rapidly creeping up and we’re still behind our goal. Your TAX-DEDUCTIBLE gift will be doubled to fight Planned Parenthood in court and save innocent unborn babies. Chip in $5 and it becomes $10; $20 becomes $40.
