Radio Recap: Second Court Approves Defunding of Planned Parenthood

We told you that having the right judges in place matters. Now we have a major legal victory for life and for taxpayers as another court has ruled that a state can choose not to send taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood and other abortionists.

On today’s show, we discussed a big win in the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, in an 11 to 6 decision ruling that states can choose to cut funding to Planned Parenthood.

We filed an amicus brief at the 6th circuit supporting states’ rights to defund Planned Parenthood and any abortion providers, and choose to direct funds to actual family planning services.

This overturned a lower court’s decision that had blocked the state of Ohio from defunding the abortion giant.

The abortion lobby seems to think Planned Parenthood has some constitutional right to government funding while it performs abortions.

The overwhelming majority on the appellate court disagreed, stating the state has no obligation to fund the abortion industry. As stated in the ruling: “The State may choose to subsidize what it wishes—whether abortion services or adoption services.”

This has been a very good week in the fight to defund the taxpayer supported abortion industry and save more defenseless babies. We just told you about a huge victory in New York, where we managed to force a New York prosecutor withdraw his baseless case against pro-life pregnancy centers in Manhattan, in front of a New York judge.

The abortion lobby is pushing pro-abortion Leftist candidates and pro-abortion legislation to expand its reach and strengthen its empire. Other states are now considering extreme late-term abortion legislation, similar to the horrific law recently passed in New York that we’re investigating, and the proposed Virginia legislation – which we are also taking action against before it becomes law – that would decriminalize infanticide.

This is a great victory, but it’s imperative we continue to ramp up our efforts to defund and decimate the abortion industry, before it’s too late.
