We told you that politics would rear its ugly head, and now Congressman Adam Schiff has already proven us right.

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live we discussed Congressman Adam Schiff’s call for the Trump Administration and President Trump to be investigated over the response to COVID-19.

Just before the show started, we had more breaking news as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced a new select committee to oversee the Coronavirus response. She said, “Where there’s money, there’s frequently mischief.”

Speaker Pelosi announced the creation of what she calls a bi-partisan panel that should be focused on rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse.

We are in the middle of a crisis that has not even hit its peak, and Democrats being led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi are showing their partisanship. And of course Congressman Adam Schiff reared his head once again, playing politics while the nation is going through a pandemic.

What’s interesting is he tweeted out that we did this after Pearl Harbor and after 9/11.

My dad, Jay Sekulow, rightly pointed out that: “We’re not AFTER anything yet. We haven’t even reached the crux of this.”

Here’s what Congressman Schiff tweeted a few days ago about President Trump:

Whether it’s military aid or ventilators, a foreign ally or an American governor,

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:

You cannot count on Donald Trump to do what’s right for this country.

You can count on him to do what’s right for Donald Trump.

If he ends up on this committee, and of course he will as House Intel Chair, this will wind up being round four of the Mueller Report.

My dad, Jay Sekulow, continued:

Volume Three was Ukraine so this would be Volume Four of the Mueller Report. The lingering memory of the ghost of Bob Mueller, I said that on the floor of the Senate; the ghost of Bob Mueller continues.

You also have to remember that Speaker Pelosi asked the Nixon question. She asked the Watergate question, the one that says ‘What did the President know and when did he know it?’

Their intentions are clear. We are not even near the end; we’re just in the beginning of this and they’re asking for after action reports. They’ve already announced their committee.

Not only have they announced that they are going to do it, they’re already forming it.

I actually blame Congressman Adam Schiff for causing Congress to spend most of their time trying to remove the President over these bogus and made up impeachment charges that they knew would fail. They dragged the country through it and they are planning to drag us all through it again.

And they are trying to do it before the next election to try to take down President Trump at a time where people aren’t even thinking about that.

You can listen to the entire episode complete with more discussion about Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Congressman Adam Schiff’s rank partisanship here.
