Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell signed on to Senator Lindsey Graham’s resolution condemning the House impeachment inquiry.

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live, we discussed the impact the resolution and how much it matters that Senator McConnell signed on to it.

Jordan made a good point when he said that McConnell’s involvement is really important because he can really direct the Caucus due to his influence as Majority Leader.

ACLJ Director of Government Affairs Thann Bennett described the impact of the resolution:

This really matters. There is a great temptation on the Senate side of Capitol Hill to ignore all of this. We’re going to stay above the fray. We’re not going to pay attention to the process, no matter how abusive it is. We’re going to be the upper statesmen. What this resolution does is it gets the Majority Leader telling his caucus, no the process that’s going on in the House right now does matter because its fundamental to fair treatment, whether it’s the President or anybody else that the House is going after. That process will serve as the foundation for how we will consider this matter if this matter does indeed come to us. It gets Senators focused on all of the problems going on with the House impeachment inquiry. It doesn’t let them off the hook.

The House actions are a dangerous precedent to set, not just for this President but for future Presidents.

It was also reported by Catherine Herridge on FoxNews that there is now a third point of bias with the whistle blower. There’s not one, not two, but three points of political bias. That’s why Adam Schiff won’t let this person testify.

Let’s not forget that Adam Schiff was given four Pinocchios by the Washington Post, their worst rating, when he lied about having contact with the so-called whistleblower: “We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower. We would like to.” The Washington Post is not a conservative media outlet.

Adam Schiff had to back track after that lie was exposed.

I should have been much more clear and I said so the minute it was brought to my attention that I was referring to the fact that when the whistleblower filed the complaint, we had not heard from the whistleblower. We wanted to bring the whistleblower in at that time. But I should've been much more clear about that.

Adam Schiff should lose his committee Chairmanship. He, along with Nancy Pelosi are making a mockery of the Constitution and due process. The House process is now so tainted that there is no getting it back.

I think this impeachment inquiry winds up in the same ash heap of history as the Mueller Report.
