Congressman Adam Schiff blocked the release of declassified documents involving the Russia probe, keeping Americans in the dark.

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live we discussed Congressman Adam Schiff’s action blocking the release of declassified witness transcripts relating to the Russia collusion probe.

I wanted to start off by being really clear – this is not surprising to me. There has been a declassification of the transcripts that were used by the House Intel Committee and others so that those documents can be released. What a declassification means is that the documents were no longer deemed classified, so you and I could actually see what was going on inside those committees with these interviews. That includes exoneration issues.

We know the Russia probe ended up producing nothing. There was no collusion. There was no interference by the Russians in collusion or in coordination with the Trump campaign.

These documented have now been declassified which is different than un-redacted. They are no longer secret material. They are no longer material that shouldn’t be available. In fact, they should be available. Congressman Adam Schiff who chairs the House Intelligence Committee has been aggressive in getting documents from the President and from the White House. He tried to get them from the President’s lawyers. We, in our private outside capacities as counsels to the President, rebuffed those because of attorney client privilege.

This material is not privileged at all. There certainly is not classified material in here.

So what happens? They’re now available to be released, and yet Congressman Adam Schiff has not allowed them to be released.

Jordan Sekulow made the following point:

His committee voted to ultimately release these when they became declassified. Let’s tell people some of the people whose testimony is included in this: Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. You’ve got Roger Stone in there. John Podesta the former Clinton Campaign Chairman. Andrew McCabe, former Deputy FBI Director and Acting Director. The attorney who was formerly a DOJ attorney who passed along the details about the interference, supposed Russian interference, to former FBI General Counsel, James Baker. You’ve got Donald Trump, Jr’s testimony in there.

Of course he wrote do you think Adam Schiff’s trying to protect him or trying to protect people like Sally Yates, who testified? You’ve got, again, a whole host of individuals who testified here that we are not getting the information from.
