In a less than surprising move, Former Vice President Joe Biden has made his pick for Vice Presidential running mate – Senator Kamala Harris.

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live/The Logan Sekulow ReProgram we talked about former Vice President Joe Biden’s choice of California Senator – and his most vocal adversary on the debate stage – Kamala Harris as his running mate.

So where does Senator Harris line up on this issues? Is she a moderate? Is she a leftist? It’s fair to say we have some pretty definitive answers for a lot of these questions.

Senator Harris verbally swung at Vice President Biden the hardest in last year’s Democrat presidential candidate debates, and not just on policy. She essentially called him out for racist tendencies. Here’s what she said in one of the debates:

I’m going to now direct this at VP Biden. I do not think you are a racist. And I agree with you when you commit yourself to the importance of finding common ground. But I also believe, and it's personal, and . . . it was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators who built their reputations and career on the segregation of race in this country. And it was not only that, but you also worked with them to oppose bussing. And, you know, there was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools, and she was bussed to school every day. And that little girl was me.

That exchange is as powerful now as it was the night she said it.  I would absolutely expect we’ll be seeing it played over and over again by the opposition from now until Election Day.

So where does Senator Harris stand on the issues that we care about? Is she in line with Vice President Biden or more like Senator Bernie Sanders? Or is she even more extreme than that?

My co-host, Will Haynes, broke it down for us:

There is someone according to this tracking, based off the legislation they’ve sponsored and signed on to, that beats Senator Bernie Sanders for that top prize of top liberal in the Senate, and that is Senator Kamala Harris.

Everything they tracked, everything they scored, lined up with the liberal ideology.

Senator Harris’ record has a lifetime 93% rating from the ACLU, and a 100% pro-abortion rating from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and NARAL. Will Haynes pondered what it took for Senator Kamala Harris to earn a 100% pro-abortion rating:

How far does that go when they give you a 100% rating? If you’ve been listening to Jay Sekulow Live for any amount of time, you’ve heard us talk about things like, specifically, the FACT Act in California which was a law that went into effect in California that mandated that pro-life pregnancy centers had to post an 8.5’’x11” sign in their facility that advertised where people could call to get an abortion. And it had to be in no less than 14pt font. It had to be a notice stated that California has public programs that provide immediate free or low cost access to comprehensive family planning services and abortion for eligible women. To determine whether you qualify, call this number.

In other words under the FACT Act,  even pro-life pregnancy centers were required to place signs in their facility essentially advertising access to abortions. Senator Harris proudly fought for the FACT Act when she was Attorney General of California. The ACLJ took action to overturn that law and fought all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States, where we won. Senator Harris was actually listed as one of the defendants in our lawsuit.
