Yesterday the Left’s extreme socialist plan was put to a test and failed, when the so-called Green New Deal withered and died on the vine.

On today’s broadcast, we discussed yesterday’s vote in the Senate, forced by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., on the freshman Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez sponsored Green New Deal. The radical deal was shot down in a spectacular 57 – 0 vote.

Not a single Senator voted for it. 43 Democrats including Presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris, who had previously claimed to support the deal, chose to vote “present” rather than go on record showing public support for this extreme deal.

We’ve told you about the Green New Deal which proposes, among other radical ideas, banning air travel and eating meat in order to somehow combat climate change.

We also discussed the attempt in the House, spearheaded by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, to override the President’s veto on the Emergency Declaration over border security.

This was the resolution of disapproval that, if passed, would have terminated the President’s National Emergency declaration. Yesterday Speaker Pelosi put the veto override vote on the floor and it failed – this time by 38 votes.

Between this failed vote, the Green New Deal being voted down, AG Barr’s summary of the Mueller Report which vindicates President Trump, and Monday’s Proclamation by the President officially recognizing the Golan Heights as Israeli territory, it has been a very good week.
